The VA Raleigh CBOC is a 244,860 SF, two-story healthcare clinic with a four-story parking structure designed to offer a comprehensive range of outpatient physical and mental health services.

Utilizing the VA’s Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) principles, the clinic promotes a patient- and family-centered environment while enhancing the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare delivery. Key objectives include creating a welcoming and supportive environment for Veterans, improving patient care, and fostering a positive workplace for healthcare providers.

SES delivered engineering design services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology systems. The team conducted a thorough evaluation of primary building systems to propose cost-effective solutions that optimize durability, energy performance, and life-cycle efficiency. This approach resulted in the integration of sustainable features, including energy-efficient systems and water-conserving plumbing, enabling the new facility to achieve 2 Green Globes for New Construction Certification.
