Trinity Medical Center West
New Bed Tower
Trinity Health System built a 105,000 square-foot addition to Trinity Medical Center West. The project will change the way health care is delivered in this community, adding technological advances, creating an all-private-room hospital and consolidating services at the West campus. The addition is being completed in three (3) phases with construction and renovations to the existing hospital spaces planned for completion in 2021. The consolidation of services means patients won’t have to be transferred between Trinity Medical Center East and West, which will improve patient care and enable patients to rest easier in a more comfortable environment while creating a better experience for all stakeholders.
Partnered with JE Dunn Contractors of Omaha and Earl Swensson Architects of Nashville throughout the design, SES spent a significant amount of time on-site evaluating the countless utility and infrastructure tie-in locations to facilitate phasing for the project. Additionally, this project was performed on a continuous value management delivery platform where regular team meetings included engineering systems presentation and updates along with life cycle cost impacts. This allowed the Owner’s Project Management team along and local facilities team to make informed decisions that dramatically impacted budgeting and ultimately led to a significant reduction in project cost over preliminary estimates.
