Reunion Rehab Hospital

SES was engaged by America Development to adapt a prototype design of this new three story, 48-bed, 57,000 square foot inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Using adopted codes for the area, including 2020 Florida Building Codes, Florida Fire Codes, and 2018 FGI Guidelines, SES determined that additional measure was required to improve the robustness of the prototype for a warmer, coastal environment, including exterior equipment resistant to the corrosive saltwater environment and screen walls to protect the equipment from hurricane force winds.

The facility includes 48-beds located on the upper two floors, a full operating kitchen, dining area, administration offices, an interior and exterior physical therapy rehabilitation space, large Day Rooms, speech therapy, nurse stations, and support areas.

SES provided full MEP design services including low voltage. During construction, SES worked closely with the Florida Healthcare Department, AHCA, to confirm compliance and ensure the facility would open without delayed re-inspections.
