Kaiser Permanente Acero Medical Office Building

This new MOB was established to provide more services throughout the Southern Colorado region and improve health care access for the community. The facility accommodates primary care, specialty care, laboratory, pharmacy and routine medical imaging services.

The goal was to provide a cost competitive building while meeting the requirement of a full-service clinic. In addition, Kaiser Permanente wanted to expand its front porch to be accessible to the public. Due to high construction cost in this region, the owner, contractor, and design team utilized collaborative cost saving approaches. SES provided a cost-effective MEP design with energy efficient and low maintenance features. The final product earned numerous sustainability and performance credits for energy cost savings, renewable energy generation and the use of 40+ materials that carry Environmental Product Declarations.
