Project Description

Charlotte Veterans Administration (VA) Health Care Center (HCC) was completed on January 29, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The 295,000 square foot medical office building provides a full array of healthcare services to our Veterans. In addition to primary care, this 35 acre facility will offer out-patient surgery, imaging, dialysis, mental health, dentistry and eye care to approximately 2,000 patients daily from the greater Charlotte metropolitan area of North Carolina. This state of the art healthcare facility is the largest of its kind in the VA system. The project is being designed to achieve a minimum ‘Silver’ rating certification under the USBGC LEED for healthcare standards.

This new Charlotte VA Health Care Center was developed by Childress Klein-Cambridge Healthcare Solutions, LLC and was built at the corner of West Tyvola Road and Cascade Pointe Boulevard, near the Tyvola/Billy Graham Parkway interchange at Interstate 77.

This was a joint venture between Childress Klein Properties of Charlotte and Cambridge of Washington D.C. who hired Charlotte-based RPA Design Group and JE Dunn Construction Company to design and build the state of the art facility.
