Project Description

The existing McKenzie County Hospital was built in 1950 and did not have the capacity to meet current healthcare standards and community expectations. McKenzie County Healthcare System intends to develop a full replacement hospital that includes emergency, imaging, surgery, physical therapy, central sterile and administration departments. The project will also include clinic space to support local and visiting physicians.

Partial funding will come through the USDA and be required to meet USDA procurement requirements. In addition to the new hospital, the overall design includes a new long-term care facility, renovation of the existing long-term care facility, building site and parking areas and relocating a City street and utilities adjacent to the existing facility, to the edge of the property.
