Project Description

CHI Health Midlands Hospital was one of five major hospitals within the CHI Health Generation Patient Initiative which consisted of a 1.4 million square foot expansion and renovation that added substantial services and infrastructure to the system network. As part of the Generation Patient Initiative, SES simultaneously designed major renovations/expansions on three of its five Nebraska and Iowa Hospital Campuses including CHI Health Midlands Hospital, Mercy Medical Center and Lakeside Hospital.

The CHI Health Midlands Hospital, as part of the overall system scope, included co-creation of an energy standard for the system, creation of mechanical and electrical system standards for the network, coordination with and creation of a telecommunications standard for the network and design of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, telecommunications and fire protection systems.
